Zurvan (ズルワーン, Zuruwān) is the First Sensory of Varuna and a Holy Warrior of the First Heaven.
Personality[]
He is a insincere and blunt indivdiual.
His insincere nature and tendency to get on others' nerves makes him rank first among the most hated members of the group. To the point where he made even Quinn wish to kill him.
He is frivolous and wishes for chaos; not in a radical, anarchist sort of way, but rather because he finds it interesting.
"This world ain't fascinating if things aren't chaotic. What's so fun in dividing everything into white and black?"[1]
Abilities[]
He is a powerful Yazata, one of the mightiest, second only to Magsarion in terms of martial prowess. His combat style centers around the use of firearms.
Denkard Aeon[]
Zurvan's Commandment, In exchange from the binding of "Purposefully not possessing a Commandment", he gains "Nullification of the power of others" as a boon. In short he is not bound by the World's Law, and is thus able to render useless any power that falls under said Law.
He does not abide by Avesta, and is thus an independent man who bows to no one, and often seen as a irresponsible and rash individual.
Due to various factors it can only be used to its full power against Mashyana, and in a way one could say it was exclusively made to fight Mashyana, as against all others it becomes degraded.
Trivia[]
His name undoubtably originates from Zurvan , the First Principle or Creator Diety in Zurvanite Zoroastrianism. A now extinct sect which belived that Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu were created by a higher-being, this being Zurvan.
His Commandment, Denkard Aeon, is a reference to two things. One is the Denkard (𐭣𐭩𐭭𐭪𐭠𐭫𐭲), a 10th Century Middle Persian text that acts as a compendium of Zoroastrian beliefs and customs during the time of its writing. The name is made up of kard from the Avestan karda meaning "acts" or "chapters" and den from Avestan daena meaning "insight", "revalation", or "religion". Thus Denkard means "Religious Acts" or "Acts of Religion".
