Spenta Mainyu (スプンタ・マンユ, Supunta man'yu) is a powerful Star Spirit who exists independently from most of the Ashavan due to the nature of their Commandment, and is one of the mightiest among them. They are a Neutron Star imbued with sentience.
It has the surface area of around an average city, but it is incredibly dense, with the mass of entire stars condensed into the small volume that is its body.
History[]
They are one of the Ashavan, though they are not part of Wahman Yasht. It has killed countless Dregvant, even managing to slay a Demon King in the past.
They were fighting Bahlavan before he was called to Gathas, and it was in this battle that their head was crushed, and they perished.
Abilities[]
They are one of the strongest of the Star Spirits, powerful enough that a single attack from them can destroy stars tens of thousands of light years away. Producing more energy in an instant than most stars can in their entire lifetime, far surpassing even the Genocide Star Cluster in its radiance, and even if thousands of First Class Daeva rose up against them, they would be unable to beat them.
As a Neutron Star, it has a very intense gravitational pull that few beings could surpass, and is able to produce powerful magnetic fields and gamma-ray bursts, making the act of doing so much as approaching them is a dangerous endeavor.
Their strength surpassed that of Bhalavan at the start of their battle. Though they were ultimately overcome.
Their Commandment is unknown, though its binding is, "Do Not Make Associates"[1], like a sparsile star. It is this Law that forced them into isolation. Though the exact effects of said binding is still unknown, though it does grant them great strength, the specifics behind this increase in strength is the mystery.
Trivia[]
Spenta Mainyu is one of the Amesha Spenta, a class of Divine Entities that emanate from Ahura Mazda. In time the name contracted into Ameshaspand.
It is one of these Spirits along with Vohu Manah. His domain being that of many realms and creatures,—the sky, water, earth, plants, and children yet to be born; all of which he maintains and protects.
"Spenta" translates to "Holy" and "Maiynu" roughly translates to "Spirit", thus his name translates roughly to "Holy Spirit" or the "Beneficent Spirit".
According to Masada they can take the form of a 15 year old bishoujo who refers to herself as "ware"[2] Though they are described with male pronouns, 彼, but this term can also be neutral, therefore leading to confusion regarding their identity.
Due to this, I choose to refer to them as a "they".
