Holy State of Sodom (神聖国家ソドム, Shinsei kokka sodumu), later known as the Isolated City, (隔離街, Kakuri machi), is a nation that prospered thousands years before the event of Paradise Lost. It was a great religious nation that deemed their enemies as heretics as an excuse to used force to expand its territory.
History[]
It was built upon the corpse of Khvarenah much like the rest of Paradise Lost, and they took advantage of the advanced technology crafted by the Star Spirit.
It was once a prosperous civilization, its population so great that people within it were like unto dust, like a City upon the Hill, the Centre of the World.
They were highly expansionist, and considered those outside of the nation to be not even human, and used this prejudice as justification for their imperialist ideology.
It was like this for thousands of years, but was torn apart by the Great War , which left it a ravaged hellscape, were people must kill to survive. It was during this battle between Angels and Demons that Lot released an immense amount of Sin, and cut off the city from the outside world.
Civilization was rebuilt, but it never reached the same level as it once was. Leaving those days of yore as an unattainable dream. They had reached their apex, and can only descend further into a Hell of chaos and lawlessness. It would come to be known simply as Isolated City, (隔離街). Due to high amount of Sin covering the city, a wall of miasma surrounded the place which does not allow anything to enter or leaving the area.
A criminal organization known as the Infinite Snake gained a great degree of influence and power in the world, using their connection to the Outside in order to increase their power and influence within the walls of the Isolated City.
Structure[]
It is a ten layered city, with the higher layers being closer to God , and the lower being closer to the Abyss . With the quality of life gradually getting worse with each layer.
It is further seperated into Three Classifications, S Sector, D Sector, and the M Sector .

Lower Levels[]
With those in Levels 11-15 being in cities named after the Four Lowest Circles of Hell in Dante's Inferno.

Past this is a level that is completely uninhabitable. Where the toxins become impossible to survive, even in a suit.
In the Four Circles, people have to augment their bodies with technology, coating their skeletons with titanium. Making themselves into cyborgs, which upon death are scavanged for parts.
It is a world governed by Kill or be Killed. Thus many evolved to become mutant and depraved. Enough so to where the entire section is called the Murder Zone.
