Quintessence (クウィンテセンス, Kuu~intesensu), also known as the Fifth Element (第五元素, Dai go gen-so) is A Higher Dimensional Energy that is pulled upon and used by Angels and Anti-Angels, imbedded into their very DNA, and through it, one can manipulate the four elements that make up the world.[1]
Nature[]
The Quintessence is in a higher dimension than the tri-dimensioned space that man is accustomed to, and it is normally inaccessible to those bound to the world of matter, with the exception being those born out of Quintessence, that being, Angels and Anti-Angels.[2]
It is accessed through an extra DNA base that is unique to Angels and Anti-angels. Those with it could interfere with the spiritual existence of Gaia. Allowing them to enact myriad phenomena, manipulating the four elements that make up the world, therefore, gaining a sort of control over the world.
This is a fifth-base alongside all of the other normal bases of DNA, this fifth base appears and disappears like a mobius ring.[3]
Uses[]
Through it one is able to enact phenomena that have no logical explanation, such as turning a man into a pillar of salt, or compressing gravel into a radiant psuedo-star that could roast most foes alive.

It also can emit solar flares of similar intensity to the real ones, burning anyone to cinders if they are hit with them.
Trivia[]
Quintessence is defined as "the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class.", though it is also another name for Aether, the Fifth Element believed to make up Celestial Bodies by Medieval Alchemists. In many texts it became synonymous with the Philospher's Stone itself.
Aether first showed up in Plato's Timaeus, where he added Aether () to his list of the Four Classical Elements. It became associated with Arche, The first principle or element that corresponds to the "ultimate underlying substance" and "ultimate indemonstrable principle", it is considered one with the "primeval chaos" or "primordial waters" mentioned in many Religions to be the fundamental nature of existence, from which creation was borne. It is the divine horizon of substance that encompasses and values all things, that which underlies all of reality/appearances.
Thus one could say it is the foundation beyond physics, or rather what physics is borne of, thus through manipulation of Quintessence one could modify the World in impossible ways, enacting impossible phenomena.
