The Law of Muzan, the Second Heaven. Also known as Paradise Lost or Remorseless Paradise of the Fallen (堕天無慙楽土, Daten Muzan Rakudo) or Fallen Naraka (堕天奈落, Daten Nakuru). As it is a World that allows man to go about his own devices, respecting humanity's freedom and autonomy it is of the Freedom Type (自由型, Jiyūkata).
It was formed by Muzan's Idealogy, that being that goodness cannot overcome Evil, for the good will always be too weak to overcome those who overly seek Hegemony. Thus he must become Evil, a desire strong enough for him to overcome his instinct, that of Avesta.
Thus upon taking a Throne this Ideal, the nessecity of Evil in order to survive in an Evil World. An Evil that commits atrocities in order to defeat Evil, emmanates outward and becomes a Law engraved upon the Souls of all beings. Making all beings like unto himself, evil beings that commit terrible deeds in order to survive. Creating a hellish world that functions off the natural law of "Kill or be Killed".
Muzan himself is unaware of the Hell that is born of his Law, and he is not one who would wish such suffering upon his people. A God oblivious to his Rule. The closest thing he has to a Sensory, or any awareness of the World under him, is his the extention of his Law that is Belial.
It was born when Muzan overthrew Mithra, taking the Throne for himself. It is detailed in Paradise Lost.
Nature[]
It was a World of violence and depravity, where violence was made the answer to everything. It is a paradise for the strong, where the strong prosper, and the weak suffer. A World where Evil eats Evil, "My people! Devour evil with evil, raise that beast within your soul", new reason is incarnated as all people in the land are carved with the original sin. In a sense, the law of the man has returned to its state before the emanation of Shinga.
"Embrace your sins in this Fallen Heaven. Eat the forbidden fruit, for that man cannot be produced" , all Men are engraved with Original Sin.
It is a constant warzone, not through two opposing sides, but of countless beasts, all without ethics, fighting amongst themselves. A Paradise where evil consumes evil, where desires grow to their extremes without any shakles to bind them. This Sin, this bloodshed, leads to the constant decay of civilization. A Civilization is destroyed, and is once again reborn. An Endless Cycle of Destruction and Revival.[1]
There is no shame or regret, nor lamentation. It is a paradise, just not in the traditional sense. Thus it is at least superior in the quality of life of its people than the First Heaven. [2]
The Throne takes the form of the Keter: the Crown (王冠, ケテル; Oukan, Keteru) at the peak of the Tree of Life that makes up the world of Paradise Lost.
In the end he was overthrown by Nerose, not through combat, but rather through a Time Paradox, birthing the Third Heaven.
Its Setting is that of a Cyberpunk World. Lasts for 5,000 Years.
Sin[]
Main article: Original Sin
Sin is a quality existant in the souls of all beings in the world of Paradise Lost, with Angels being the only beings lacking it. This is not wholly like the sin that is existant in all Heavens, but exists in a far more tangible and definable form.
This is engraved upon the most fundamental levels of the Soul, the guiding force of humanity, and the craving that leads all beings to evil deeds, to become the "Evil that devours Evil". Some beings have a far denser and more potent Sin than others, and those with the greatest levels of Sin gain power, and makes one more capable of becoming a Demon Host.
As shown by Nerose Satanael and Mortalia Samael very high levels of Sin can give one the apptitude of a Hadou God.
Sodom[]
Main article: Sodom
The Isolated City, cut off from the rest of the World due to the expansion of the Abyss as a result of the actions of Lot and Belial. Which cut it off from the rest of the World, and made life within it even more of a living Hell. The athmosphere becoming more and more toxic and incompatible with humanity the deeper one goes.
Angels[]
Main article: Angels
Angels are beings that were created without Original Sin. Though in turn lacked any sembelance of Free Will or Identity. Being but husks that do naught but follow his orders. Thus they were regarded as faliures, meant only to be weapons.
Demons[]
Main article: Demons
Demons or Anti-Angels were beings created with the highest purity of sin, existing in the deepest depths of the Abyss. Pure destructive forces that stand in opposition of all that is good. They are able to pull upon Quintessence, though unlike Angels that do not use Mana, but rather use Sin, a far more potent source of power.
They are higher-dimensional entities that cannot interact with the World without taking a Host, and also are incapable of being killed, for even if their Host is slain they will return to the Abyss to be healed by the endless Sin within it, making them completely immortal. As Higher-Dimensional Entities they cannot be harmed by anything but Higher-Dimensional attacks, meaning they can only be harmed by Quintessence.
As Sin is far more powerful than Mana, Demons are far more powerful than Angels.
The Abyss[]
Main article: The Abyss
A Realm of chaotically swirling Sin, an Abyss of pure evil where the Demons reside. It is also the opposite to the Sephira that reach upwards towards Keter. For it goes downward into the bottomless depths of Sin, reaching the Throne in Judeacca.
It is the endless expanse of Sin contrasting to the endless expanse of Mana.
