Nerose Satanael (ネロス・サタナイル, Nerosu Satanairu), also known as the Morningstar (明星, Myōjō), is the Third Heaven and the Main Antagonist of Paradise Lost.
He was replaced with Mercurius, birthing the Fourth Heaven.
Personality[]
He has shown himself to be very charismatic.
He is obssessed with cleanliness and purity, and is clean, fair, logical and honest; and as God he was a benevolent individual, though his ideals, in an attempt to eliminate pain and suffering, led to a World without emotion.
His World was too perfect for him to accept any flaws,
It was this obssession that led to him scorning the God that let Sin exist in the World. Thus his Law was evil and wrong, a foolish endeavor, [1] while Satanel believes himself to be absolutely right.
Abilities[]
His Sin is one of the greatest in all of Daten-Naraku, enough so that he has the qualities of, and ability to become, a Hadou God. It is partially through this Sin that he was able to develop a Mastery over the Abyss and eventually take the Throne.
As a Throne God he is transcendent of any and all extensions of the Singularity, thus looks down upon all of creation, including the infinite "nothingness" of the Singularity, as mere fiction, absolutely infinitesimal.
His Taikyoku value is 80, which makes him comparable to Ren Fuji and Reinhard Heydrich during the events of Marie's Route in Dies Irae.
Through Quintessence, through Sin and Mana alike he is able to enact myriad phenomena, those unique to the myriad Angels and Demons associated with him.

Netsiv Melakh (נציב מלח)[]
"Oh, Gloria. Open the Gate of eternity! Who is the king of eternity? It is God all mighty. God is the glorious King. Netsiv Melakh!"
-Satanel utilizing Netsiv Melakh
Summons a Great White Light that reduces all that touches it to a Pillar of Salt. Much like the fate of Lot's Wife. This does not work just on the people or beings it touches, but all matter is converted without exception, consuming all things in its radiant light.
Rain of Gluttony[]
He causes a corrosive substance to fall from the sky, potent enough to alter the atmosphere itself.

(Nerose Satanel activating Gogmagog[2]) |
The Ability of Beelzebub, the Demon of Gluttony.
Invoking the names of the allies of Satan, Satanel engulfs his opponent with a noxious cloud of miasma formed from every harmful substance known to man before and compressing it on around them. He then summons a horde of locusts that are able to tear apart the very souls of their victims, thus completely eradicating them. It's Beelzebub's most powerful attack, boasting enough power to send all continents to the Abyss at it’s full power.
Flame of Worthlessness[]
Also known as the Meggido of Belial, this is the Ability of Belial, Demon of Worthlessness, who is among the strongest of the Demons that inhabit the Abyss. He releases flames that can reduce the opponent to nothingness, destroying their very Souls. Since this is a direct manifestation of Muzan's Law, thus should also work at a transcendent, metaphysical level. Making this his most powerful ability, and one of the most powerful abilities in the Second Heaven.
He can also turn it into armour of which he clads himself with, making any and all attacks useless against him. An absolute defence which can only be overcome by Michael, and this can only occur due to the unique nature of Michael, that of "always overpowering your opponent".
Trivia[]
Name[]
His name of Myōjō can work in two ways, Myōjō or Morning Star can be a reference to Jesus or Lucifer, both of whom had, at one time, been atributed with the moniker. Which is fitting with Nerose's Pride, where he belives himself to be superior to God, and is also fitting with the Messianistic side of his endeavours, fighting in an attempt to create a perfect World. It is also fitting with the Judeo-Christian Imagery oft associated with him.
It could also be used to mean a Star of the Stage, which is fitting with the common comparision of the World being a Stage that revolves around the Throne God.
Satanael is another name for the Demiurge, much like how Samael is an Angel that in various Gnostic Cosmologies was associated, or even conflated with, the Demiurge.
Abilities[]
Many of his abilities are named after Angles from Judeo-Christian Belief, though some, such as Sariel, are viewed by many to be mere Apocrypha, though are by others seen as deuterocanonical.
Netziv Melakh or נציב מלח is Hebrew for Pillar of Salt.
