Mitra (ミトラ, Mitora), also known as Shinga (真我, Shinga), is the First Heaven, the Goddess of Dualism and the Lover of Varuna.
She was a great warrior in the Pre-Throne Era, and took the Throne for herself, and was the first person to ever wield it, establishing the First Heaven. She was overthrown by Muzan, birthing the Second Heaven.
Personality []
She is a self-righteous and dignified woman, With a highly simplistic view of morality. "You, who kill Evil, are Good."[1]
The world of Dualism was born from this simplistic, and child-like, view of morality. Good and Evil are not two sides of a Scale, but are rather two absolutes.
Ahura Mazda...
Angra Mainyu...
There shall be no end to this struggle.
For these two sides of the moral, lies the eternal conflict. [2] She is the one who values justice above all. She loves to see the confrontation of different colors with her own limits and loves that things are different from herself. She always has a smile on her face, but it is just a mask that hid a crying heart, forever trying to deceive herself.
Those who seek Hegemony are Evil[3], and those who strike back at the edge of defeat are Good[4].
She claims to love everyone[5], yet Masada considers her ill-tempered [6], which is backed by her pettiness and the ways she punishes those she feels wrong her.
Abilities[]
While her Taikyoku Value is as of yet unknown, she is still a Hadou God and, therefore, possesses an extraordinary level of Reality Warping prowess. The entire Universe is subject to her Law, as it exists transcendent to any extension of the Singularity and, therefore, it is ontologically superior to any and all forms of existence, regardless of its existing scale.
Her Law is that of "Dualism" which separates all beings into two diametrically opposed sides that will clash for all eternity, and functions on the basement level of their being.
Before her rise to Godhood, she was a legendary warrior who was the commander-in-chief of Starfleet Aditya. As such, Mithra has a high degree of Martial Ability and her experience as a Commander gives her a high degree of Leadership.
She carries around a Dual-Bladed Sword.
She is capable of granting people Commandments and enacting strict punishment upon those that break their Bindings, most commonly depicted as forcing one to undergo Tentsui and change Allignments.
Infinite number of Self[]
As the Goddess of Dualism, Mitra represents both Black and White. She displayed it against Magsarion by creating many alter egos of herself whose number is equal to the number of souls Magsarion has killed, meaning it is infinite. None of them can be killed by Madou Magsarion till he reached his Hadou, becoming Muzan.
Commandment: Dies Irae Pantheon[]
Shinga's Commandment. In exchange for the binding of "Not harbouring the emotion of wrath", she gets "To give birth to a world in which individuals get stronger the more fiercely wrathful they are" as a boon.
This does not soley effect the world of Dualism, but all the Worlds that would come in the future. Becoming a founding principle of the world of the Divine Throne.
Troughout the different novels, different characters are implied to grow in power trough anger:When Sakuya was angered as Numahime kissed Keishirou, the Tenma said that she is stronger than Sakuya because of her Anger being on a "different level" compared to Sakuya's, Yakou could not reach the throne when he was at his full power, however once he was weakened and got "unprecedented anger", he was able to shake the throne itself. A similar example is shown with Habaki who could fight Yato via Kikei Mandala, yet once he lost it and faced Srgalas like Reizen, he got angry and surpassed them all. These are some amongst other examples. It is also shown how getting angry, prevents characters from getting mad as Zurvan didn't go mad when he was brought to the throne by Shinga as he got angry, same with Yato when he fought Hajun.
This also prevents her from mentioning how Varuna work or to even mention him as she could not talk about him during the prologue of pantheon and while she mentioned all the Naraka rangers, she could not mention Varuna, same for her avatars as Ahura Mazda didn't mention Varuna but implied there was someone else other than Mithra and the 4 rangers.
Trivia[]
Mitra is a God of both Vedic and Zoroastrian beliefs, known as Mithra (ミスラ, Misura) in its Avestan form, fitting with the Vedic influences of the Pre-Throne Era and the Zoroastrian influences of the First Heaven. Both names, and the traits of the deities themselves, derive from the Proto-Indo-Iranian common noun *mitra-, meaning "covenant, treaty, agreement, or promise".
These traits both led to the development of both the Vedic and Zoroastrian forms of Mitra.
The Vedic form is distinguished by a relationship to Varuna, and is counted among him in the Adityas, reflecting her own relation to Varuna. He is the Patron Divinity of Honesty, Friendship, Contracts and Meetings.
Zoroastrian Mithra is the Yazata of Covenant, Light, and Hope. In addition to being the divinity of contracts, he is also seen as a judicial figure; an all-seeing protector of truth, described as "of wide pastures", suggesting his omnipresence; He is also seen as the guardian of cattle, the harvest, and of Apas. According to Scriptures he is undeceivable, infallible, eternally watchful, and never-resting.
Her description in Kajiri Kamui Kagura is just Sansara Vartin's and Habaki's subjective view of who she is. Thus it only captures a small portion of who she truly is.[7]
