Mercurius (メルクリウス, Merukuriusu), also known as Karl Ernst Krafft (カール・エルンスト・クラフト, Kāru Erunsuto Kurafuto) or Mercurial King (水銀の王), is the Fourth Heaven and the closest friend of Reinhard Heydrich.
He is the Vice Commander of the Longinus Dreizehn Orden and occupies Seat XIII of the Table; despite the fact that he granted them their power, all of the Knights fear and despise him.
Personality[]
He is led by his heartfelt wish to experience the unknown, and all his actions are carried out in order to bring out such unknowns, expecially that particular end.
He does not interfere directly with the World, and simply throws pebbles, and watches the ripples that issue out. Small changes that lead to grand outcomes.
Despite his nature as God, the Man Pulling the Strings, he is in fact an honest person. Who never goes against the promises that he makes.
Despite his sadistic streak, he is fundamentally a pure man, giving birth to the Cycle of Eternal Recurrence for the reason of dying in the arms of the woman he loves, and for the creation of an ideal future.
He though is arrogant and controlling, for he says,
"I won't accept anything other than what I want" [2]
If such an undesirable end occurs, he would cycle the World once more.
He has become detatched after the countless cycles, and only feels companionship for Reinhard and Marie . Thus his desire for an Ideal Future began to fade away, leaving him with the sole desire to die in Marie's arms.
He is stated to be the most responsible of the Gods, for he is the one that takes the future into account more than any of the previous Gods.
Abilities[]
Taikyoku[]
As a Hadou God Mercurius is transcendent of, and has power over, all of Creation. For all things in the infinite multiverse are governed by his Laws, the World is not but his Canvas. For he commands all concepts and phenomena in the universe, and exist unbound by time.[3][4], and he exists completely above and external to all expansions of the Singularity - of which size corresponds to the inner depth of the Throne God, reaching up to infinite levels each transcending the last - which in turn utterly transcends the Multiverse, no matter the qualitative dimensions/layers it may have.
Without being granted control by the Throne his Hadou will flood the entirety of Creation. In essence this means that Hadou will encompass anything and everything regardless of scale. Be it from a singular universe, to a dimensionless space such as the Throne. For a Hadou God is a walking Atziluth, one who defines its own boundaries and it infinitely expands its Craving until everything in setting has been subjugated to their Law. In short, "Hadou God is the Godhead. I am everything, everything is me".
Even the weakest of Hadou Gods with 1 Taikyoku exist external to all expansions of the Singularity, and Mercurius has a value of 90, making him one of the strongest possible Hadou Gods. Enough so that he was able to kill the previous God, Nerose Satanael, in only a single hit.
As he is the Throne God of Omega Ewigkeit he exists as the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, Everything and Nothing, he is the all-encompassing whole that precedes even duality itself.
He is known for his massive expansion upon the World of Atziluth-Tai, turning it from a singular universe into an infinite multiverse. Every reality subjected to his Cycle of Eternal Recurrence
Though unlike the Godheads both before and after him, he is not capable of using the Memory of the Throne due to his paradoxical existence.
Sensories[]
His Sensories however are weaker than his True Self, though are still beings of nigh-incomparable power. Karl Krafft alone is Reinhard Heydrich's equal, thus he should also be capable of breaking through countless Nights of Methuselah, each with the durability of half the planet, in but one single blow.
As they are made of "complete nothingness", it makes most if not all conventional attacks just pass through him. They are also unaffected by any material phenomena. It is like attempting to strike the moon through its reflection in a pool of water.[5]
Aura[]
They also give off an aura that makes other disgusted by him, and terrified of him. Strong enough to even effect the member of the Longinus Dreizehn Orden, who are resistant to mental attacks. When he intentionally emanates this aura it is enough to completely break people, driving Shirou Yusa to madness during the meeting in Gladshiem over the events of Kei's Route.
This Aura is a result of his Law of Foreknowledge.
Sorcery[]
Many of his Sensories have a mastery over the arte of Sorcery. Enough so that he created the Ewigkeit formula, and bestowed it upon the Longinus Dreizehn Orden, he was also capable of bestowing the power of Sorcery upon Anna Marie Schwagerin.

The Manifestation of Mercurius' Law, “To experience the unknown, dying in the arms of Marie. Absolutely any other end than that, is unacceptable”, When his Law is activated at the time of his death, Mercurius will reset everything if it does not end how he wants it to end, even in realms where time is nonexistent such as the Throne. During the reset he is capable of manipulating the next timeline however he desires, such as when he erased any and all factors that led to Hajun's rise to power.
This reset is great enough to bring back the Throne itself after its destruction, and return people whose existence has been wiped out in their entirety, beyond any chance of recovery.
This comes with various side-effects that he uses as attacks against those that he fights.
Sequere Naturam []
Sequere Naturam or Follow Your Nature unleashes a Supernova that consists of thousands upon thousands of stars condensed into a singular blast capable of atomizing Hadou Gods from the inside out. Killing even Nerose Satanel in but a single hit.
Dura Lex Sed Lex []
Dura Lex Aws Lex or The Law is Harsh, But it is Law is an ability in which Mercurius creates a "Great Attractor", which pulls all things into its Singularity. Dura Lex Sed Lex is a modern legal term, though it originated from Ulpian's, Digesta Iustiniani, or Digests of Justinian, Ulpian was a Roman jurist of the 3rd century AD. The Digest is a compendium or digest of juristic writings on Roman Law compiled by order of the Eastern Roman emperor Justinian I in the 6th century CE (530–533). It is divided into 50 books.
Aurea Mediocritas []
Aurea Mediocritas or Golden Middle Ground is an ability in which Mercurius aligns the stars into a Grand Cross, causing an astrological energy surge that can incinerate Atziluth Gods from inside-out.
Omnia Fert Aetas []
Omnia Fert Aetas or Time Takes Away All Things is an ability in which Mercurius makes all of existence into an elementary particle and sends it into the past of the opponent, creating a temporal paradox, therefore erases them from existence. As if they simply never were. It is taken from the quote "Omnia fert aetas, animum, quoque.” from Eclogue IX , written by the classical poet Vergil. This quote is oft translated as either, "Time carries all things, even our wits, away." or "Age sweeps all things away, even our understanding".
Disce Libens (Learn Eagerly)[]
Disce Libens The most powerful skill in his arsenal, it condenses all the stars in the infinite multiverse into a singular black hole that will destroy all of creation. This causes everything in existence to be erased on a metaphysical level, even the Throne itself is destroyed, leaving only void.[6]
Law of Foreknowledge[]
Mercurius' Law, that of Foreknowledge, it had the added effect of "devouring the mind"[7], and his Sensory, that of Karl Krafft, is the embodiment of this Law, and thus is able to "invoke anxiety in all those who look upon him", his "endless babbling" able to turn that anxiety into irritation, and irritation into mindless rage. Yet fills them with a feeling that it simply "isn't right" to kill him.[8]

Trivia[]
Many of his Aliases are named after real peoples, typically important occultists throughout history. Though Nostredamus, Paracelsus, and Faust do overlap.
His Allias of Faust can be connected to both an infamous satanist, which was the inspiration for the eponymous character of Goeths masterpeice Faustus. Where Faust gives his soul to the demon Mephistophilies, which just so happens to be the titile of Reinhard Heydrich at the Obsidian Round Table.
