Mashyana (マシュヤーナ, Mashuyāna) or the Immobile Impurity is a Purebred Star Spirit and one of the Seven Great Demon Kings who rules over Druj Nasu.
She is the incarnation of the Malignancy of Degeneration (退廃, Taihai) [3]
Personality[]
She is a haughty and cruel Empress who has a strange connection to Zurvan, and holds a power animosity towards him.
"You're Evil Zurvan. Everything is your Fault"[4]
She has an unexpressive, almost static face, like that of a doll. A beautiful, yet unsettling visage.
Abilities[]
As a high ranking Dregvant she can use the Power of Ego, allowing her to manipulate the World to her will. And, as a Demon King, her Power of Ego is stronger than most.
She is capable of issuing forth trees from inside her body.[5] and she, like her contemporaries, has enough power to destroy even Stars with relative ease.
Her followers, which she controls like familiars, are the Nasu and the Wausaga. Countless insect-like creatures that are each Class-2 Daeva.
Despite her strength, she and the Gayomart are experiencing decay, gradually weakening and dying due to her having lost Zurvān, her second half. This filled her with an unhealthy obssession with finding Zurvān, and leaves her far from her prime.
Mashyag[]
The Mashyag is an object that she possesses that was created by Khvarenah and fell to Druj Nasu around the same time that she developed Will.
It has the power to recieve the strong wishes of its user, and using it to reproduce all manner of be things. Be they matter, phenomena, or concepts.
However these are not perfect copies, but mere reproductions, and thus always hold one aspects that is wholly different from, and often contradictory to, its original. Like opposing, dualistic, cosmic forces.
When Magsarion "resonated" with the ring he was reduced to childhood in Body, Mind, and Soul. With even his Commandments dispelled.
Xwedodah[]
Main article: Xwedodah
Xwedodah (フヴァエトヴァダタ, Fuvu~aetovu~adata) or Beloved Law of Heaven (最愛なる天則, Saiainaru ten-soku) is Mashyana's Commandment, In exchange for the binding of "Returning all thoughts/feelings from other people pointed towards oneself with thoughts/feelings of the same nature and quantity", she gains "Perfectly reflecting the opponent's attacks" as a boon.
In short she acts like a mirror, if loved, she loves, if hated, she hates. Reflecting the feelings that other people hold towards her, making them her own, so that she will feel the same way about them, in both nature and quantity.
It was born of the "Fear of Lonliness" that lies at the foundation of her Ego. Craving for her souls matching pair, that being Zurvān. Therefore, in order not to have a one sided, empty connection to other people, she imposed a mirror-like way of being onto herself.
Though her standards for a partner are highlu unrealistic, if his feelings aren't on the level of "Only seeing her alone in the entire world", she'd deem them fickle and impure. Such people "do not look at me fully", therefore, "I too need not oppose them fully".
Thus in most cases her reflection misfires, degrading to the level of a mere counter-attack, for it was made exlusively for Zurvan, and can only manifest as the "perfect reflection" while fighting against him and him alone. As it is a "Perfect Reflection" it can niether be stronger or weaker than the directed attack, though this does not bother Mashyana, for it was not made for destruction, but rather just for a rendezvous with Zurvab, to form an infallible intimacy with her lost brother.
Trivia[]
She is named after Mašyānē, the First Woman in Zoroastrain Lore, who was born from a Tree alonside the First Man, Mashya. Together they procreated and birthed Fifteen Sets of Twins. Which spread around the World and birthed the Races of Mankind.
Gayōmart[]
Gayōmart, also known as Gayō Maretan in the original Avestan, is the name granted to the Primordial Beast, primogenitor of Mankind. Gayomart existed when Creation was yet purely spiritual. His mere existance immobilized Ahriman. Ahura Mazda created him, along with the Primeval Ox, incarnate. He was white and brilliant, shining like the sun; borne of a seed whose origin was in fire. Though after 30 Years of attacks, Ahriman destroyed Gayōmart and his body became the metals and minerals of Earth, leaving a golden seed from which grew a Great Tree. From this tree were born the seeds of all plantlife, and too were the first of mankind, Mashya and Mashyana, grown upon its branches.
