Lilliel (リリエル, Ririeru), also known as Executor (執行者, Shokkousha). Commonly known by her nickname Lil (リル, Riru), she is the last surviving Angel created by Nerose Satanael, where she was once known as Gabriel (ガブリエル, Gaburieru).
Personality[]
She is like a young child, naive and innocent. Having little understanding of the world.
She is quick to become anxious and cry, like a sensetive little girl.
Abilities[]
As an Angel, she can pull upon the Quintessence, and use it to enact myriad phenomena.
Metsiv Melakh[]
Through Metsiv Melakh she can reduce her foes into a Pillar of Salt, mimicking the fate of Lot's Wife.
Gabriel[]
References[]
Gabriel (גַּבְרִיאֵל, Gavri'el) is an Archangel first decribed in the Hebrew Bible, though also appeared in later traditions, such as appearing in the Qu'ran as Jibrīl. His name translates to "God is my Strength".
In Kabbalah, Gabriel is identified with the sephirah of Yesod. Gabriel also has a prominent role as one of God's archangels in the Kabbalah literature. There, Gabriel is portrayed as working in concert with Michael as part of God's court. Gabriel is not to be prayed to because only God can answer prayers and sends Gabriel as his agent.
Lilliel[]
Her second name, that of Lilliel, could be a reference to Lailah (לַיְלָה), an angel appearing in some interpretations of the Talmud.
According to Jewish Belief, in the Garden of Eden there is a Tree of Life or the "tree of souls" that blossoms and produces new souls, which fall into the Guf, the Treasury of Souls. Gabriel reaches into the treasury and takes out the first soul that comes into his hand. Then Lailah, the Angel of Conception, watches over the embryo until it is born.
Due to the similar sounding name and both having a connection to Gabriel, the relation is likely more than mere coincidence.
Lailah is the only Angel appearing in written texts with distinctly feminine characteristics.
