Māra Pāpīyas (マーラ・パーピーヤス, Māra pāpīyasu), better known by his Divine Name Hajun (波旬, Hajun) is the Main Antagonist of Kajiri Kamui Kagura, and the God of the Sixth Heaven.
Apperance[]
Hajun is a medium-tall, and rather not very muscular, humanoid Man, with a Brown skin. His eyes are black, with bright white pupils, and his hair is golden, and looks like a floating, smooth-tipped spikes. He also has runes on a forehead, and a black circle resembling an eye, with a shining white pupil.
His chest is uncovered, and on bottom he wears light, White color robe covering his legs, from which two long belts protrude, one he throws over his left shoulder and the other hangs freely. He has brown-blue small bracelets on the top of his hands, and on the wrists, he wears golden 3-part bracelets.
Personality[]
He is a narcissistic individual that loathes all things, and thus wishes with all his heart to be alone. This wish manifests into his Law.
"I want to be alone. My body is mine alone."[1]
He sees the entire Universe as being his own body, his own interior World. Thus all those within it are invasive bodies, constant irritants. Like insects buzzing through the air.
He doesn't understand how others find purpose and joy in their relationships to others. Finding such an ideal worthy of mockery.
He views himself as being like unto a God[2], which, while technically correct, is but a product of his Narcissism.
Abilities[]
As a Hadou God and a Throne God he has the ability to paint over all creation with his Law, and he transcends All of Creation, including any and all extensions of the undimensioned, transcendent Singularity. With even the infinitude of the Singularity being like mere fiction comparative to his being.
His power is unmatched in all of Shinza bansho, for to even a God of 1 Taikyoku the Throne is nothing more than a tool and Creation but a canvas in which to paint their Law; but he stands head and shoulders above all of them, reaching an Immeasurable Taikyoku, one that transcends the concept of a numerical value to discern to it.[3]
Tenma Yato stated that Hajun cannot be defined as a God but rather as a monster as his power is unimaginable.
He has the ability to use the powers of past Hadou Gods through the Memory of the Throne, albeit to a lesser extent due to his complete and utter disrespect for their Gods, considering their mere Records "Shit staining his body".
During the game, several characters will be called cells of Hajun or Hajun's hounds, or even gain boosts trough Kikei Mandala, thus Hajun should logically have access to their abilities.
His Law is the Great Greedy Tengu (大欲界天狗道 Romanji: Dai yokukai tengu michi)
Tendo Hisouten[]
The Law of Nerose, the God of the Sombre Heaven. Universe of mathematical formulae and rationality, akin to a machine. Born from his desire to "rescue this sinful world", cleansing everyone from their original sin. Unlike all of the other Memories he calls upon during the fight again the Eastern Expedition Team, the shade of Satanel is used his Law in two ways:
Gogmagog: Punishes those who indulge in their desires by the creation of a swarm of infinite locusts, which pursue their target until nothing remains of them.
Pillar of Salt/Netsiv Melakh: Summons a powerful light that turns anyone and anything it touches into a salt, with this transmutation being more akin to the overwriting of reality, and can effect even Gods.
Shurado Shikoten[]
The Law of Reinhard, a Universe of Eternal Struggle, world where everyone is immortal and fight for eternity. Sukhavati of man-eating fiends, born from the Golden Beast's desire "To love all at his full power". In the final battle against Hajun, it is manifested in the form of:
Du Sollst - Dies Irae: Originally a power to control the dead, it is changed into the Injecting a Spear with the legion of Shura, and throwing it at the target due to Hajun's Gudou nature. An extraordinarily powerful strike that can erase his foes from existence. As it holds the entire legion of Shura into the spear, he can logically use all the powers that said legion have.
Eigou Kaiki[]
The Law of Mercurius, the God of Eternal Reccurence.
Disce Libens: The creation of a black hole which devours and destroys all of creation, and is even capable of destroying the Throne itself. It is impossible to avoid unless one is of greater power, or knows the ultimate endpoint of Mercurius' Law, his desired end.
This makes it into an attack of absolute death, bringing all things to their absolute end. Thus this is one of the most powerful skills in his repertoire.
Mugen[]
The Law of Ren Fuji, the God of the Eternal Moment.
It is capable of stopping time for its targets to a point that transcends the mere concept of time. Being more akin to the imposition of the Law of Stagnation.
When it was used by Hajun it was powerful enough to freeze both Rindou with her Longinus and Habaki in their tracks.
As he used Ren's law,he should logically have access to all the powers that the Yatsukahagi have,thus he should logically be able to use these powers
Mugen Kyoukan jigoku:A taikyoku that allows the user to absorb any kind of poison or impurity into all of creation,turning into the very concept of poison and rotting everything he touches or looks at,poisoning even infinite possibilities without even trying,he can spread this taikyoku to others as a wave of corrosion.
Mugen Shonetsu Jigoku:A taikyoku with the dual power of fire and lighting,it burns at touch and by looking at others,it can hit others with fires and lightings that are inherently different from normal as they are mixed with Edo's law.
Mugen Kokujou Jigoku:A taikyoku that summons shadows in order to halt others,enters others' minds and can even drag souls and metaphysical beings,this taikyoku also gave birth to almost all distortions that the west had access to.
Mugen Shugou Jigoku:A taikyoku that once sustained Reinhard's valhalla and Yato's Edo,it is unclear which powers Hajun would have access to if he ever used this power trough Yato's shade.
Mugen Kokutosho Jigoku:A taikyoku that allows the user to hit the opponent with the very concept of death and with power that can be nullified only if the one who recieves said hit is stronger than the user,any concept,phenomena,history etc.... all would die against this taikyoku.
Malignant Tumor Apoptosis:A Self-Destructive taikyoku that allows the user to negate any power that don't reach said level of power,if the opponent is stronger or a human with no power,the user will be defeated trough power or become human respectively.
Mugen Tokatsu Jigoku:A taikyoku that allows the user to control the dead,embracing them with its "love"which makes them unkillable unless the one who fights said corpses(who are also strengthened physically from being mere humans to colorless taikyoku level at least) have a power that surpasses the user of this taikyoku's
Rinne Tensei[]
The Law of Marie, the God of Twilight Reincarnation; The Law of Reincarnation, born from the Goddess of Twilight's desire to "love and embrace all". Universe where everyone life is full of happiness, respecting humanity freedom, embracing all without discrimination. When used by Hajun, this shadow has shown the ability to use:
Curse of Guillotine: Severs the head of the enemy with a blade of decapitation. A Curse of Absolute Death, falling like a Guillotine upon all those who oppose its God.
Marishiten(摩利支天)[]
Shiori's Taikyoku,which grants the user access to infinite possibilities of oneself,Shiori achieved this Taikyoku against Tenma Morei thanks to the spread of Kikei Mandala via Rindou,even saying that without her,she cannot access this Taikyoku again. This Taikyoku is directly stated to be powered by the Throne of the Sixth Heaven.
Kei Tsunushi Futsumitama no ken (経津主神・布都御魂剣)[]
Soujirou's taikyoku,it allows the user to cut trough concepts such as distance,speed and skill,it is a sword that cuts everything upon touch,even laws that spread and try to touch it,like Shiori,Soujirou obtained this Taikyoku thanks to Rindou spreading Kikei Mandala when he fought Tenma Akuro.
Tenma Kessenka(天魔血染花)[]
Keishiro's 2nd distortion,it allows the user to clad itself into an invincible armor of dark Yin Qi,imposing Misfortune upon others and absorbing luck,distortions(such as when he fought Tenma Numahime), and any kind of power he comes in contact with and the life force of those around him. When keishiro was using this distortion,he was still bound by Tengu Do,even manifesting this distortion in its gudou state According to Tenma Sukuna. Keishiro also had not any sign of apoptosis energy,despite he was using a partly Shura Mandala and Ryuumei in a similar situation,described herself as having the same Destructive Love that Sukuna have. Keishiro himself will also go on and say that distortions are gudou as the basic premise of distortions is telling the world: 'this is how I am',this is also confirmed by Sukuna who said that distortions are selfish. Numahime also said that Keishiro changed the owner,switching from Suigin,to Ougon,to Hajun and the Yatsukahagi,will refer to Keishiro as a cell of Hajun and one of his running dogs several times over.
Magatsuki(禍憑き)
Sakuya's distortion which causes disasters, this distortion can also grant power when used correctly, granting to Niko and Teirei its power against Akuro and Morei and later on, granting it to them again to fight Numahime, however, its full power is unleashed only when one either risks its life or would have to kill itself in the process. Sakuya was directly called a small tengu and was never really affected by Rindou's words until the end of her route when she rejected Shurado to become a human and stay with her baby.
Yama Enraten(夜摩閻羅天)[]
Yakou's Taikyoku which wants kills all things and makes the user immune to the concept of death, giving the latter protection from death itself. This Taikyoku was granted by Hajun to Yakou as the latter was the most superior cell of Hajun and this made him Hajun's sensory.
Misogiharae - Yumotsugaeri (禊祓・黄泉返り)
Habaki's distortion which repels any kind of distortion or taikyoku unless it is on an higher level of existence. This distortion also grants the user immortality and the ability not only to repel several distortions at once, but also the ability to copy an opponent's Stat by repelling his/her reason,as shown when Habaki repelled Yato's stagnation, reaching his level of speed.
Metsujin Messo (滅盡滅相)[]
Metsujin Messo or Extravagant Destruction is a partial manifestation of Hajun's Law, fills all creation. Causing all beings to begin to fight amongst themselves. Killing each other until nothing remains. Turning them into bloodthirsty Śṛgālaḥ or into pseudo gudou gods who are the most common ones, Srgalas are the most narcissist and with time, everyone in his heaven would become such, also enhancing their power the more one loves itself, this however would make them collapse if they ever reach Yato's level of power. Though even this is halted by Tenma Yato. Due to this it only acts to make people extraordinarily selfish, eliminating the concept of altruistic love in it's entirety. With it he was able to destroy Marie and her Law in a single blow.

The Full manifestation of Hajun's Law, a manifestation of his desires, his desires being "In spite of everything, I want to be alone", and "Everything else dies, leave only myself".. It erases all of existence, apart from Hajun himself. A combination of both his Hadou and Gudou Natures.
If it were ever activated, all of existence would be annihilated aside from Hajun himself, allowing him to be left alone for all of eternity.

Trivia[]
His title of Demon of the Sixth Heaven or 第六天波旬 (Dairokuten Hajun) is made up of 第六天 which is the Sixth Heaven, the Realm of Desire in Buddhism.
波旬 (Hajun) is a killer demon or a demon who strives to destroy all goodness.
This is actually a being in Buddhist Lore, who was also known as Māra and Pāpīyas
Śṛgālaḥ is the Sanskrit Word for Jackals, the singular is Śṛgāla. It can also translate to "Cheat", "Coward", or "An Ill-Natured or Harsh-Speaking Man".
The First Line of his Taikyoku is quoting from the Mantra of Light or , Komyo Shingon (光明真言). Which roughly translates to:
Praise be to the flawless, all-pervasive illumination of the great Mudra.
Turn over to me the jewel, lotus and radiant light.
He also quotes the Shaka Nyorai, a Mantra dedicated towards Sakyamuni.
