Ferdows (フェルドウス, Ferudousu) is the caretaker of the Star Princess Nahid, and the elected replacement for Nadare.
Personality[]
He is a harsh pessimist, yet he is a chivalrious soul who deeply respects Magsarion, and has a close, "synchronic relationship" with Quinn, [1] wherein he holds a friendly rivalry with her.
Regardless of his pessimism he passionately follows his ideal, that of becoming the perfect hero, a fairy tale existence.
He believes himself not worthy of pity or praise, he believes himself a disappointment and thus rejects the warmth of others. He wishes to protect his loved ones, and is obsessive in his protection of them, for he blames himself for any harm that would come to them, blaming it on his own incompetence. These feelings worsened greatly after the death of Marika, feeling him with a deep self-loathing.
As shown by his thoughts on the Day of Metal, he is not fond of his Homeworld's Star Spirit.
He refers to his enemies or strangers as "あんた" but refers to his friends and allies as "君".[2]
Appearence[]
He is shown to be quite an effeminate man, with gentle features; short, with a small frame; and long purple hair put into a ponytail.
This effeminacy is to such a degree that he was able to dress in a belly-dancer costume and pass off as a female, though much to his dismay.
Abilities[]
As a Yazata he is among the mightiest of the Ashavan, a warrior blessed by Vohu Manah, and trained to fight against Daeva. Although he was quite average among Yazata, he quickly became one of the most trusted of the Holy King, despite having only 3 years of experience. Sirius trusted him to be the caretaker of Nahid, the Star Princess.
His main weapon is a rapier.
Star Spirit's Divine Blessing[]

He is able to call upon Vohu Manah's Blessing in order to buff himself in certain ways. Though like all Yazata he is only able to do so a limited amount of times per day, with him this is limited to seven times.

Combined Blessings[]
After taking on Saoshyant Aushedar, he began taking advantage of combining blessings, regardless of the risk involved in this practice. He has only been shown as using Alastor, though he should be capable of using any of the other emergent abilities displayed elsewhere by Magsarion.

Commandments[]
Ferdows is one of few individuals to possess multiple Commandments. Taking on a secondary Commandment during his fight against Taurvid.
Nowruz Ferdowsi[]

His Commandment gives him Seven different abilities, which one he can use depends upon the day of the week on his home planet, meaning that he has to keep track of the time not on the planet he is currently on, but on what it would be on his own planet. [3]
Day of the Sun: []
Strengthening of Star Spirit Divine Protection, as well as of the whole body. As he values balance, Ferdows calls this day "Bullseye Day".
Day of the Moon: []
Increases his regenerative capabilities, this increase is large, though in the events of Chapter 7: Permeating Void, he was even able to regenerate from being cut into small pieces and having his head crushed. It is not known if something was augmenting his power to transcendent levels, or if this was fully his own doing.
Nonetheless, because the concept of immortality is not suited for Ashavan, according to Ferdows it is "half baked". "Miss day".
Nowruz Verethragna[]
Also known as Day of Fire, this grants him an increase in offensive power. According to Ferdows it is "Hit Day" (going for the words used, seems to be a notch below of Day of the Sun in terms of satisfaction).
The increase in offensive power is extraordinary, and when mixed with Saoshyant Aushedar he was able to shatter Taurvid's armor and injure him with a single blow. Thus, it can make him powerful enough to contend with a Quasi-Demon King, a feat of extraordinary strength that puts him head and shoulders above the majority of Yazata, and the majority of beings in Ahura Mazda in general.

Increases his speed. According to Ferdows it is "Hit Day".
Nowruz Ahura Mazda[]
Also known as The Day of Wood, which operates akin to a small-scale Fractured World, able to separate that which was once together. He has yet to master this ability due to this strange nature and the specificity of its effects.
Nowruz Nasatya[]
Summons Ferdows' birthplace's Star Spirit. According to Ferdows it is "Utter Miss Day". It brings about a black sun-like light that crashes down upon his opponents.

Reduces the power of his opponent. According to Ferdows it is "so so Day".
Saoshyant Aushedar: Unspeakable, Unreachable Ideal of Salvation[]

A Commandment that shares a binding with Magsarion's version of it, though differs in its Boon. In exchange for the binding of "Forbidding physical contact in-between oneself and other people except for contact involving killing intent", he gets "Increase of his power for bloodshed in accordance with the degree of strength of his feelings of self-hatred".
While the binding itself is the same as that of Magsarion, however, because the thought that serves its foundation is "Resentment towards oneself being so disappointing", the effects become these.
Trivia[]
His name seems to be a reference to Abul-Qâsem Ferdowsi Tusi (ابوالقاسم فردوسی طوسی), also known as just Ferdowsi (فردوسی). A Persian Poet who wrote the famous Shahnameh. An Iranian Epic Poem that takes signifigant inspiration from Zoroastrianism and also contains various characters that are namesakes of other Black and White Avesta Characters.
Ferdowsi in Katakana is フェルドウスィー, as opposed to フェルドウス.
Ferdowsi itself translates to "Paradisic"
