Demons (悪魔, akuma) or Anti-Angels (反天使, han tenshi) are beings created to have the greatest purity of Sin in all of the Second Heaven. One could say they are Angels that kill Angels.
Nature[]
They are beings born from a negative element of the Quitessence. Born from the same Formula as Angels, though with Sin mixed into it, thus opening not the Gates of Heaven, but rather the Gates of Hell, the The Abyss.
They are Higher-Dimensional beings that can only interact with reality through a vessel, much like how a Hadou God is only able to manifest itself in the World through a Sensory. Thus they must bind to one that is compatible with them. Taking the Body and using it to effect the World however they desire.
They are extraordinally powerful beings, and they cannot be brought down by any weapons of man, for they are beings from a higher-dimensional space, they require an attack that effects higher dimensions in order to truly be harmed. Much like how the Yatsukahagi were completely unable to be harmed by anything short of Taikyoku, as if those below them were mere fiction. Thus the only thing that can truly harm them is Quintessence, the very thing they are formed of.
Their strength is far superior to that of Angels, for in the Second Heaven, Sin is stronger than Mana, Vice more potent than Virtue.
Whenever they are killed they return to the Abyss and reform, meaning that while in the Abyss they are invincible and immortal. Though even when taking a Host they have considerable levels of regeneration, which increases in proportion to the density of Sin in an area, and they are even able to regenerate from nothingness if the concentration of SIn is great enough, such as in the M Sector.
Known Anti-Angels[]
Belial []
The Demon of Worthlessness, who resides withen the Vessel of Lyle. He is one of the most powerful Demons, acting as an extention or manifestation of the Second Heaven's Law. In a way he is sort of like a Sensory of Muzan.
He is very discriminant in his Hosts, only able to take Lyle as a Host due to how compatible they were in terms of Sin. He works to overwrite the mind of the Host.
Beelzebub []
The Demon of Gluttony, who resided in the body of Sophia Christ. Though he was torn from her body and was forcibly bound to the body of Judas Strife. Beelzebub is far more tolerant with his Hosts, able to reside in both the body of Sophia and Judas.
Lucifer []
The Greatest of the Demons, that of Pride. It resided at the furthest depths of the Abyss and was sought by Nerose Satanael, who had great compatibility with it due to them both being tainted by excessive Pride.
Though Satanael was never able to reach him, and thus he was left unseen and his strength unrevealed.
Yaldaboath[]
The Demon of Falsehood, that of Mortalia Satanael.
